Berkeley Wives is for women who leave their home country behind to accompany their partners to study and do research at UC Berkeley or whose partners are studying or researching here. The Berkeley Wives don't like to sit at home and play the housewife  - we like to get out there and discover our new home, work on our careers, make new friends, go out and have a good time.

About Us:

I moved to Berkeley in March 2011 and was looking for a spouse program or club for foreign wives who are accompanying their significant others studying or researching at UC Berkeley. During my search I got in touch with the Stanford Wives who run a cool blog about life as a wife moving to the Bay Area: www.stanfordwives.com. Unfortunately, I could not find such a website, club or program at UC Berkeley.

After talking to various people who had started some activities for foreign spouses, like the TEA TIME for example, and receiving a lot of support for my idea, I decided to found the Berkeley Wives following the example of Stanford Wives.

And here we are today! Please join us and be part of the Berkeley Wives. We look forward to meeting you.
